| Match Report | Broadway 2nd XI recorded their 2nd win of the season with a comfortable win against Bidford 2nd XI. Broadway won the toss and bowled 1st. A good fielding performance backed up the good performance from the bowlers. The wickets were shared round with 2 wickets apeice for Carenza, Marston, McDonagh & Burford. As Bidford could only manage 149. In reply Broadway got off to a rapid start through Hands (47), 3 quick wickets could have given Broadway the jitters, but a solid partnership between Marston (25) & Wheeler (27 not out) put Broadway within touching distance of the victory. Despite Marston getting out just before the end, McDonagh hit 11 off 3 balls to secure victory with 10 overs to spare. |
