Barry Clements has been confirmed as first team captain again for the 2015 season, following the AGM on the 13th February.
Clements who has fulfilled the role on and off since his return to the club in 2008, stood unopposed for re-election at the meeting, and has already begun work on re-shaping the side following a difficult ending to the 2014 season. Marcus Humpston has been appointed as vice-captain in the hope that the responsibility will bring back his best form of previous years, after a difficult 2014 season.
Carlo Carenza has officially been appointed as second team skipper. Carenza carried out the role for the majority of the 2014 season, and amazingly led the side to promotion to Division four of the Cotswold Hills League. The players responded to Carenza's leadership and he is excited about the prospect of establishing the side at a higher level. Carenza will be assisted by experienced campaigner Andy Beale, who has agreed to become second team vice-captain. Beale will offer valuable support having experienced all there is in the Cotswold Hills League over the years.
The league season begins two months yesterday, with the first team away at Long Itchington and the second team at home to Dorridge & Hockley Heath. Indoor nets continue at Prince Henry's High School on Thursday evenings from 7pm until 8pm - all are welcome to attend.
