Overseas player coach signs for 2014

Broadway Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of West Indian Chioke Payne as our overseas player/coach for the 2014 season.
Chioke is a top order batsman, who has previous experience of playing in England, having played in the Cheshire, Northamptonshire and Durham Premier Leagues. He has also represented Durham and Northants at U17 and U19 county level.
Chioke is a left-handed top order batsman and a useful change seam bowler. We are thrilled that as a highly qualified coach, Chioke will lead the coaching setup at Broadway this coming season for both the senior and junior squads. Over the last two years Chioke has been running the coaching setup for a private school on his home island of Barbados.
This signing is seen as a major coup for the Club after a difficult 2013 season. Chioke arrives week commencing 21st April and will lead the first junior practice session on Friday 25th. He will be available for selection for our pre-season fixture against Overbury on Sunday 27th April.
